<p>PURPOSE:To set the wiring capacity of an active matrix liquid-crystal panel optionally and to increase the degree of freedom of design by charging part of the gap between two substrates with a material which has a higher dielectric constant than a material between the substrates. CONSTITUTION:The material 34 with the higher dielectric constant is arranged at the outside of a sealant 33 for sealing two substrates 26 and 9 while holding their interval constant. After the material is screen-printed as well as the sealant 33, the two substrates 26 and 9 are stuck and curing is carried out. To obtain the material 34 with the higher dielectric constant, powder of barium titanate is dispersed in epoxy resin and is mixed to have 0.01-99% of the powder to the resin. In this case, organic resin having an optional dielectric constant is obtained in accordance with volume percentage. An equivalent circuit has the capacity CLo or a liquid crystal layer, capacity Co of the sealant, and capacity CE of the dielectric material between a counter electrode 10 and wiring 32. Then, the dielectric constant is selected optionally by the CE, so the wiring capacity is designed optionally.</p> |
