PURPOSE:To provide a welding power source which shortens the time width of a negative polarity and decreases loss, by connecting DC reactors in series as a DC constant current source which does not switch to the positive pole side and using a DC constant current source which switches to the negative pole side. CONSTITUTION:A DC constant current source 2 on a positive pole side is connected in series to DC reactors L1, L2 in an electric power source of AC arc welding. A switching transistor (TR) T3 is inserted in series to a DC power source V2 for a negative polarity. The current I1 by the power source 2 flows to load 1 when the TR T3 is off in such circuit. The current flowing to the load 1 is commutated to the pulse circuit side and the pulse current by the current 2 flows if the TR T3 turns on. The TR T3 turns off when the pulse current attains the set value. The power source device which is in a short time at the negative polarity as compared to the positive polarity and has a decreased loss is realized by such circuit constitution. |
