PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for treating hyperglyceridemia and methods for reducing the risk of developing hyperglyceridemia.SOLUTION: The method for treating hypertriglyceridemia comprises the steps of: identifying a subject having hypertriglyceridemia; and administering to the subject an effective amount of a composition comprising wedelolactone, luteolin and apigenin. The method for reducing the risk of developing hyperglyceridemia comprises the steps of: identifying a subject at risk of developing hyperglyceridemia; and administering to the subject an effective amount of a composition comprising wedelolactone, luteolin and apigenin.
