METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CUTTING CROP IN GAS CUTTER FOR CONTINUOUS MOLDING

PURPOSE:To cut a crop smoothly without damaging a cutting torch by interrupting the cutting so as to leave a partly uncut part after starting cutting of the crop and fixing the torch carriage in a way that the carriage can follow up the bending of an ingot. CONSTITUTION:The cutting of the crop 17 of an ingot 3 conveyed with a roll table 2 is started and a torch carriage 6 is stopped in the position where the uncut part attains a specified length. A vertical moving cylinder 12 is operated to press stick and fix a press sticking head 13 to the ingot 3; at the same time, the cutting is stopped and the clutch of a driving device 8 is disengaged to free the carriage 6 on a carriage rail 9. The ingot 3 and the body are moved to the position of the crop carriage. Even if the ingot 3 is bent by oscillation or the like during this time, the carriage 6 slides on the rail 9 by following up the bending of the ingot 3. The torch 7 is thus held on the cutting groove 18 of the ingot 3 and the generation of deviation is prevented.
