<p>The present invention relates to an arrangement for selecting and feeding a wrapper from a storage unit to a big paper roll or the like. The storage unit comprises several wrapper rolls of different axial length and a separate feeder for each wrapper. The feeders are in a substantially vertical line and a guiding unit is provided for guiding the selected wrapper to a roll wrapping station. The feeders operate as the main wrapper pulling and feeding devices of the arrangement. The guiding unit, which is provided with a unit for transversely cutting the wrapper passing therethrough, is movable mainly vertically and can be selectively positioned in front of any of the feeders, preferably very close to them.</p> |
