<p>The present invention discloses novel tricyclic compounds having gem-bis(hydroxymethyl) functional group. Compounds within the formulae of the present invention include those components having unsaturation in the ring structure and those in which the unsaturation has been converted a halogen or phosphite functionality. The compounds are useful in thermoplastic and thermosetting compositions, and particularly in urethane coatings and castings.</p> |
