PURPOSE:To achieve a higher heat transfer efficiency and a greater durability of a heater wire from a heater to the side of a solid electrolytic element by arranging the element into the electric heater which has a metal heating wire on the circumference of a supporting body and a lead wire connected to the heating wire inside while a porous heat resistant electrically insulating layer is formed on the outer surface of the heating wire. CONSTITUTION:A cup-shaped solid electrolytic element 6 made of an oxygen ion conductive metal oxide is fixed on a housing 7. A metal stem 9 is soldered on a metal film at the end of a heater 8. An electrode is provided inside and outside the element 6 and a porous ceramic protective layer is provided on the outer surface of the outside electrode. The outside electrode electrically conducts to a housing 7 and the inside electrode to the stem 9 respectively. The inside of the element 6 is communicated to the atmosphere through a hole 20a of a metal tube 20, a hole 14a of a pipe 14, a fine clearance between a tube 10 and lead wires 2 and 3 of the heater 8 and an porous electrically insulating layer 5 of the heater 8. |
