PURPOSE:To confirm that a proper amt. of an adhesive agent is filled in a core and to improve operability and reliability, by using a semi-solid material which is forced out from the forward end of a core by the injecting pressure of the adhesive agent to be injected into the core right after filling of said adhesive agent. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle 7a of an injector 7 for injecting an adhesive agent M is inserted into the hole 6 for injection of the adhesive agent and the injection of the agent M into the cavity 3 of a core 1 is started. When the injection of the agent M by the injector 7 is further continued from the point of the time when the agent M is filled thoroughly in the cavity 3, the agent M flows to the outside through an air vent hole 8 and the clearance between the covering layer 5 of an optical fiber and the core 1; at the same time, a semi-solid material 9 is forced to the outside from the forward end part 2a of an insertion hole 2. Since the forcing out of the material 9 from the forward end side of the core 1 can be discriminated easily, the operation for feeding the adhesive agent is stopped at this point of time. Thereafter, the material 9 forced out from the forward end side of the core 1 is wiped away with a solvent, and the optical fiber connector exposed with a clean end face 4a of the optical fiber is obtained. |
