PURPOSE:To accurately control a fine injection amount of fuel, by arranging in series a pair of solenoid valves in fuel passages of a fuel injection nozzle and driving to open and close the both solenoid valves with a phase difference. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection nozzle 45, in which a poppet valve 35 opened for at least a prescribed pressure of fuel supplied to a fuel reservoir chamber 34 is provided to the point end of a nozzle case 32, is formed such that a subcasing 41 is fixed to the rear end of a casing 31 holding the case 32 and fuel passages 46 are continuously formed to axial core parts of each casing 31, 41. Then a pair of solenoid valves 47, 48 are interposed in series to the passages 46 of each casing 31, 41, and an electric current is conducted to solenoid coils 52, 56 of each valve 47, 48 with a prescribed phase difference. In this way, the valve 35 is opened only for a fine length of time each valve 47, 48 is driven to open altogether to perform fine injection of fuel. |
