1. A flexible laminate which can be used for packaging purposes and which comprises an oxygen barrier layer composed of a copolymer of vinylidene chloride together with at least one other ethylenically unsaturated monomer, preferably vinyl chloride, which copolymer contains at least 50% by weight of vinylidene dichloride units, and which barrier layer is arranged between, on the one side, a layer of a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate containing from 5 to 20, but preferably from 8 to 12, percent by weight of vinyl acetate-derived units, and, on the other side, a layer of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer just like the first mentioned copolymer, characterized in that the ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer in at least one of the said layers is orientated.
