<p>PURPOSE:The titled composition for providing a molded article having improved impact resistance, rigidity at high temperature and surface gloss, obtained by blending a thermoplastic polyester with a glycidyl group-containing copolymer and/or an ethylenic copolymer and potassium titanate whisker. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester (preferably polybutylene terephthalate or polyethylene terephthalate) is blended with (A) 0.1-40pts.wt. ethylenic copolymer consisting of an alpha-olefin and a glycidyl ester (the amount of the copolymerization of glycidyl ester of an alpha,beta-unsaturated acid is preferably 3- 9wt%) of an alpha,beta-unsaturated acid and/or ethylenic copolymer consisting of ethylene and >=3C alpha-olefin and (B) 1-70pts.wt., preferably 5-20pts.wt. potassium titanate whisker, white needle-like crystal having 10-20mum average fiber length and 0.2-0.5mum fiber diameter, consisting of single crystal fiber of potassium titanate.</p> |
