PURPOSE:To alter printing dimensions without losses of paper by a method in which a jacket is detachably attached to each of a plate cylinder and a blanket cylinder and the diameters of the plate cylinder and the blanket cylinder are altered. CONSTITUTION:When the top and bottom dimensions of a printing medium are small, blanket cylinders 2a and 2b are allowed to come near to each other and also to plate cylinders 1a and 1b. Also, when the top and bottom dimensions of the printing medium are large, the blanket cylinders 2a and 2b are separated from each other by air cylinders 21a and 21b and also from the plate cylinders 1a and 1b. Then, jackets 23 formed by laminating several plastic films, for example, are attached to the peripheries of the plate cylinders 1a and 1b and the blanket cylinders 2a and 2b, and then a plate 24 and a blanket 25 are each set and held by clamping mechanisms 26 and 27. |
