PURPOSE:To absorb the oscillation of a tape, by making the mass of a clipping member, which is rotated while being brought into contact with a magnetic tape considerably larger than that of the magnetic tape, and utilizing the position of clipping member as the node of longitudinal oscillation. CONSTITUTION:When a recording or reproducing operation member is operated, an erasing head 7 is inserted to the third window and is brought into contact with a rubber coating 32 of a clipping member 25 through a magnetic tape 15. Since the clipping member 25 is connected frictionally to the magnetic tape 15 by this contacting of the erasing head 7, the clipping member 25 is rotated by run of the magnetic tape 15. When the clipping member 25 starts rotating, it is rotated with a large force of inertia by the action of a flywheel 31, and the clipping member 25 clips the magnetic tape 15 together with the erasing head 7 and holds the magnetic tape 15 smoothly without damaging the run of the magnetic tape. Further, since the rubber coating 32 is brought into contact with the magnetic tape 15, the tape is run while the transverse oscillation and the longitudinal oscillation of the running tape 15 are restrained effectively. |
