PURPOSE:To reduce the breakdown during the production process and to improve the yield, by providing a winding groove in one of two half bodies, where metallic magnetic materials made into thin bands are held between nonmagnetic materials, and butting these half bodies to each other through a spacer material. CONSTITUTION:Metallic magnetic materials 12 made into thin bands are held between nonmagnetic materials 13, and they are adhered to one another to obtain a block, and this block is cut at right angle to metallic magnetic materials 12 or an azimuth angle theta to obtain block pieces 141-144. A winding groove 15 and adhesive grooves 17 and 19 are provided in the block piece 141, and adhesive grooves 20 and 21 are provided in the block piece 142. A quartz glass which is not shown in figure is sputtered to faces of blocks 141 and 142 which should face each other, to form a spacer, and these blocks are butted to each other, and an adhesive is flowed and is dried, and these blocks are sliced along dotted lines, and the front part of a core is polished up to a prescribed gap depth (l), and a coil 24 is wound. Thus, the breakdown in the production process is reduced, and magnetic heads are produced with a good yield. |
