PURPOSE:To detect a tape address with a high-speed operation processing, by combining a summing counter and a CPU to detect the tape address. CONSTITUTION:A tape running direction signal due to the rotation direction of a counter roller 2 and a signal corresponding to the number of traversed frames are obtained in a signal generating circuit 3; and the signal generating circuit 3 transmits not only a time pulse for passage of every one frame in accordance with the running direction of a tape 1 but also the tape running direction signal corresponding to the rotation direction of the counter roller 2, and the time pulse is outputted from the first output terminal of the signal generating circuit 3 and is supplied to respective one input terminals of the first and the second AND circuits 4a and 4b, and the tape running direction signal is supplied from the second output terminal of the signal generating circuit 3 to the other input terminals of the first and the second AND circuit 4a and 4b. |
