PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of heat in a disc enclosure, by supplying cooling water to groove arranged on the outside wall of the enclosure or constituted on the inside of casting of the outside wall. CONSTITUTION:Plural magnetic discs 7 are mounted on a spindle 1, and the spindle 1 is rotated with a prescribed number of rotation by a DC motor 4. An actuator 2 is used to place a magnetic head in a prescribed area of magnetic discs 7. These members are held by a base 3 and are stored in a cover 6. Cooling pipes 5 are arranged on the outside circumference of the cover 6, and a cooling medium is flowed to cooling pipes 5 to cool the inside of the cover 6. |
