PURPOSE:To obtain a polishing body having a long polishing life, by making a polishing body in such a way that even if the abrasive grains on the surface comes off little by little during its use, new abrasive grains in an ink layer appear one after another, in a method of producing a polishing body, in particular, for manicuring. CONSTITUTION:In case a flexible and small-sized polishing body, particularly for manicuring, is produced, the polishing body 1 uses as a substrate a flexible and small-sized sheet 2 comprising a foamed body, for example, of polyethylene. An kneaded ink 3 that contains 40g glue, 60g white Alundum that will serve as fine grains and a suitable amount of a tar dye is applied in a picturesque pattern to both the surfaces of the sheet by a silk plate. Before solidifying of the ink, white Alundum 5 is scattered and part of the white Alundum is forced into the printed surface. Finally, 20% glue in water is sprayed to secure the fine grains. Thus a polishing body having a long polishing life can be obtained. |
