PURPOSE:To raise the compression efficiency of a rotary compressor, by forming oil grooves in sealing surfaces of a compressor section, leading lubricating oil from an oil sump to the oil grooves by use of difference of pressure in an enclosed container and that in a cylinder chamber, and preventing leakage of gas from the clearances formed at sealing surfaces by the lubricating oil delivered to the oil grooves. CONSTITUTION:In operation of a compressor, pressure of gas in an enclosed container 1 is raised. Therefore, if even a small clearance is formed between a cylinder 8 and respective sealing surfaces 9a, 10a of a main bearing 9 and a subsidiary bearing 10, pressure in oil grooves 13 formed along the outer peripheral portions of the sealing surfaces 9a, 10a becomes equal to the pressure in the enclosed container 1 and higher than the pressure in a cylinder chamber 11, so that lubricating oil in an oil sump 15 is carried into the oil grooves 13 from through-holes 14. Here, since the oil grooves 13 are formed along the entire circumference of the sealing surfces 9a, 10a, leakage of gas from the cylinder chamber 11 is prevented completely. Thus, it is enabled to raise the compression efficiency and to reduce the power consumption. |
