MICROBIAL PREPARATION OF ENZYME FOR CLEAVING DIHYDROXYAROMATIC RING

摘要

PURPOSE:To prepare an enzyme capable of cleaving an aromatic ring having two hydroxyl groups, by culturing microorganisms belonging to Nocardia genus. CONSTITUTION:A microbial strain belonging to Nocardia genus and capable of producing an enzyme cleaving dihydroxyaromatic ring, e.g. Nocardia erythropolis KR-S-1 (FERM-P NO. 3530), is cultured in a medium added with preferably creatine phosphate or a creatine-containing material, and the objective enzyme is separated from the cultured bacterial cells.
