PURPOSE:To make a flying shear smaller by touching and detatching a fly wheel to a flying shear according to the necessary cutting energy of a work. CONSTITUTION:In a flying shear drum parts 9, 10 for cutting a bar and a pair or more of clutch plates 11, 11' having fly wheels 12 fixed to torque transmission shafts 2 between the drum driving sources and the fly wheels 12 and clutch plates 11'', 11''' having no fly wheels are provided. The clutch plates 11, 11' to which the fly wheels are fixed firmly are set rotatively to the torque transmission shafts 2, the other clutch plates 11'', 11''' are rotated with the torque transmission shafts 2 and set slidably. Flying shears are made smaller by fixing detachably same or different moments of inertia in the fly wheels 12. |
