The present invention relates to a method for preparing a carbon dioxide-capturing adsorbent using sol-gel and, more particularly, to a metallic zirconate manufacturing method using alkaline metal salt or alkaline earth metal salt and zirconia salt and a carbon dioxide-capturing adsorbent having an excellent adsorption capacity with respect to high-temperature carbon dioxide containing the metallic zirconate prepared by the method described above. The carbon dioxide-capturing adsorbent manufactured by the metallic zirconate-based adsorbent manufacturing method according to the present invention has a high level of monoclinic crystal content, and thus is excellent in carbon dioxide adsorption capacity at a high temperature, has a high adsorption rate even at a low carbon dioxide partial pressure, and has an excellent continuous adsorption/desorption performance.
