PURPOSE:To simplify constitution of a tool exchanger, by a method wherein a pair of double leaf type hands energized in a closing direction by a spring is provided on the tip of an arm and a wedge obstructing a release of the hands is provided movably. CONSTITUTION:Two hands 73 supported by a shaft rotatably are provided on the tip of a main body 71 of an arm and are energized in a closing direction by a spring 77. Rear ends of the hands 73 are provided with slopes 73B and a wedge 81 connectable with the slopes is provided movably in a longitudinal direction. Although the wedge 81 is retreated through hydraulic pressure and a releasing action of the hands 73 becomes possible at the time of attachment and detachment of a tool 90, hydraulic pressure is released, the wedge 81 is advanced through a spring 83 and the hands 73 are clamped in a closed state at a holding time of the tool, through which the tool is prevented from coming off. As the hands are made into a double leaf type state by energizing with the spring, tool exchange by making use of a linear motion of a main spindle becomes possible. |
