PURPOSE:To further regulate the normal steering force by controlling such that the assisting effect different from that for producing the desired steering force will be produced when the car is in the holding state. CONSTITUTION:When changing from the steering state to the holding state, a signal corresponding to that state is produced from a sensor 32 at the detecting section 30 and provided to the detecting circuit 31. Said circuit 31 will detect the holding state on the basis of the signal detected by said sensor 32, and feed the detected signal to the control circuit 34 in the control section 33. Upon detection of said signal, a control level for producing the lower assisting effect by predetermined rate than the control level to be produced in correspondence to the car speed provided from the input terminal 34a is calculated and fed as a new control signal to a liquid pressure system 35. |
