PURPOSE:To eliminate the trouble due to a temperature rise of fuel in a turning tank, by collecting a surplus amount of fuel from a return tube into the turning tank only when acceleration is applied in the horizontal direction to a car body and normally flowing return fuel to the outside of the turning tank. CONSTITUTION:If acceleration in the horizontal direction is detected by a pendulum type acceleration detector 6 at tilting or rapidly turning of an automobile, any of electric contacts 6b, 6c is closed to excite a solenoid 5c of a direction selector valve 5 and switch a flap 5a. In consequence, return fuel from a fuel pump flows in through the first outlet pipe 4a into a turning tank 3 to prevent a lack of fuel due to a shortage of fuel in the tank 3. While in case of no existence of acceleration in the horizontal direction, the solenoid 5c is deexcited, and return fuel from the fuel pump flows in through the second outlet pipe 4b and is collected into a fuel tank main unit 1 to dilute in fuel in the main unit 1, in this way, fuel in the tank 3 never causes an abnormal temperature rise. |
