PURPOSE:To check action of a select return force during a shift operation by providing a lock mechanism for fixing a plunger for applying a select return force at a shift position after the select operation of a striking rod. CONSTITUTION:When a striking rod 1 is turned to the fifth step and a back gear train by a select operation, a check arm 3 is adapted to lower a plunger 5 against a spring 6. A lock pin 10 forming a lock mechanism is slidably inserted in a speed change gear case 2, and one end of the pin is brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface 3a of a boss portion of the check arm 3. A pair of cam projections 3b, 3c are formed on the outer peripheral surface 3a, and a groove 3d is formed between the cam projections, in which the end portion of the lock pin 10 is advanced. When a shift operation is performed after a select operation, the lock pin 10 runs on to cam projections, and the other end of the pin 10 falls in a cavity 5c of the plunger 5. |
