摘要 PURPOSE:To improve machining efficiency, by moving an electrode along the bottom face of a work while turning the electrode by making use of the electrode for contour machining in NC electric discharge machining device. CONSTITUTION:Grooves 4 and 5 are formed in a spiral state from the bottom face of an electrode 3. When contour machining is done by the electrode, machining scraps 6 to be generated by electrical discharge machining are moved upward by turning the spiral groove 4 for their removal. On the other hand, as the spiral groove 5 is manufactured in the reverse direction of a direction of rotation, a machining liquid 7 poured in from the upper part is moved in a direction of an arrow D. Namely, the electrode itself possesses discharge action of the machining scraps and inflow action of the machining fluid, and machining efficiency is improved, that is.
