A contact terminal is used for connecting a contact part, especially an electrode, and a conductor (10) which is fitted to the contact terminal. Such a contact terminal is produced in a simple manner in that a contact body (15), which consists of an electrically conductive material and has two contact limbs (1, 2) and a centre part provided with a hole (14), is connected on each of its contact limbs to in each case one end of a limb spring (7) which is pretensioned. At least the region of the connection of the mutually facing limbs of the contact body and of the limb springs is extrusion-coated with plastic, as a result of which a gripping limb is created. The contact body, which is initially integral, is split into two parts in the region of its centre, in order to create terminal jaws. <IMAGE>
