PURPOSE:To perform the transmission in the minimum transmission time, by selecting the line density of a facsimile device corresponding to the indication of character size from an electronic computer, in the facsimile connecting device connecting the computer and the facsimile device. CONSTITUTION:When plural kinds of line density of the facsimile device exist and plural kinds of output character size designated with a host computer exist, the facsimile connecting device selects the output character size corresponding to the facsimile. A data is inputted from the host side to a data buffer 21 of a main control section 2 and an optimum line density 26 and a character pattern magnifying rate 27 are indicated for the combination at a table 23 based on a reserved line density type signal 28 from the facsimile device and a character size designation signal 25 from the host side. The specified magnification processing is done by giving a specified line density signal 26 and a dot pattern from a character pattern generator 22 to the facsimile device, and the magnification 27 from the table 23 to a magnifying device 24. |
