The present invention discloses a column type vibration isolation apparatus which is integrated with a damper device absorbing vibration energy generated in a structure by horizontal loads due to an earthquake or wind as heat energy and a function which can bear vertical loads. According to the present invention, the column type vibration isolation apparatus comprises: a first column part coupled to an upper beam; a center steel plate coupled to the first column part; a viscoelastic medium coupled to both sides of the center steel plate; a pair of side steel plates separately coupled to one surface of the viscoelastic medium; and a second column part on which a side steel plate is coupled and coupled to a bottom beam, wherein a vertical load support unit bearing vertical loads delivered from the upper beam is provided between the first and the second column part.
