A welding device for webs or sheets of thermoplastics is described consisting of a pressing device formed by a pressure roller pair with two drivable pressure rollers (7, 7'), which pressing device is held on a holding device which is provided with running rollers if required and also has a wedge-shaped heating body (6) disposed in front of the pressure rollers, the mutual distance of which can be adjusted. So that such a welding device is distinguished by simple design and a problem-free feed of the webs, the two pressure rollers (7, 7') are driven independently of one another, the rotationally fixed connection (9) of one pressure roller (7') to the associated drive (2) extending in a U-shaped manner and the heating wedge (6), which is made of silver, being disposed so as to be displaceable with respect to the pressing device. <IMAGE> |
