The fastener applying tool comprises a magazine (11) housing a strip of clips as a succession of mutually detachable clips (17). A feed device (35) passes the clips toward a mounting station determined by an abutment (9,37) at the tool front. A drive element (3) pushes the clip fastening rail into the work. The tool magazine carries a strip of clips, each of which carries its individual nail. - The clip U-legs are placed after each other, in the magazine longitudinal direction, to be secured over the telephone cable or electric wire orientated transversely of the magazine. The abutment arrests the front clip of the strip in a free protruding position at the mounting station and aligns the clip nail with the tool drive element. The magazine bottom has a transverse edge to support the clip U-legs located immediately inward of the mounting station.(1/3) |
