There exists a joint between two precast concrete construction elements (1) which are recessed from above at the mutually abutting sides to form a sealing or mounting groove (3) in which clamping devices are arranged. In this case, it is desirable if the two precast construction elements are held at the same height relative to one another, in a simple way in terms of manufacture, without support from below when they are clamped against one another. This is achieved in that the sealing or mounting groove (3) has, next to the regions receiving the clamping devices, a cross-section which is narrowed (13) towards the top, and in that adjusting members (16) are inserted, in a manner fitting into the cross-section, into the hollow-like parts (15) below the narrowing. By virtue of the adjusting members which are inserted in a fitted manner, the two precast construction elements are locked against one another heightwise in a manner requiring little effort when they are clamped against one another, so that no supporting of the precast construction elements is necessary when clamping the precast construction elements, sealing the groove and curing the sealing compound. <IMAGE>
