Solar collector

A solar collector is described, with an absorbing panel (1) which is provided on both sides with a selective absorption layer with an absorption coefficient greater than 0.9 and an emission strength smaller than 0.1, and includes an inlet (11) and also an outlet (12) for a heat transfer fluid. The absorbing panel (1) is surrounded by a housing (2) which is filled with a gas which has a temperature conductivity coefficient of at most 0.015 W/m DEG C and a pressure which is less than the atmospheric pressure. The housing (2) includes a frame (3), two transparent panels (4) inserted into the frame (3), and spacers (20) for the transparent panels (4) which extend transversely through openings formed in the absorbing panel (1). <IMAGE>
