Suspension of a supply container (1) on an agricultural appliance having a measuring device for the continuous detection and indication during travel of the content of a cultivating material carried in the supply container (1) and to be discharged onto a useful agricultural area. However, during the field work, the metering values set on the appliance before the start of the field work are usually not achieved as result of changing influencing factors. By means of the new suspension of the supply container on an agricultural appliance, a deformation of the shaped measuring bodies (9) by forces other than those caused by the weight of the cultivating material in the supply container is virtually prevented, and at the same time it is of extremely simple and robust construction. For this purpose, the supply container is fastened to the chassis (5) of the agricultural appliance by means of rigid and fixed connection pieces (11, 9), the connection pieces being made short and being capable of containing, for example, a torsion shaft (9). Strain gauges (16) are fastened to one connection piece, preferably the torsion shaft, so that their electrical data are varied by the force exerted on the connection pieces by the weight of the supply container, and this variation is evaluated for the continuous indication of the weight in the supply container. <IMAGE>
