PURPOSE:To keep a minimum function even if a failure takes place in a central processing system, by providing a basic data exchange function to an interface section between a communication controller of a data exchange and a central processing system device. CONSTITUTION:If a failure takes place in a central processing system, the system of a channel interface 106 is switched from a channel device 103 to an auxiliary data exchange 401. When controllers 107a-107n detect calls from facsimile terminals 108a-108n, connection controlling information with a reception terminal is obtained. The device 401 refers to a table in a memory based on the connection controlling information and controls the reception terminal. When the link with the reception terminal is established, the input of a facsimile telegraphic message is started and data is transferred every time the fixed data is stored in a buffer memory. |
