PURPOSE:To enable a destaticizing lamp or an erasing lamp in a copying apparatus to meet whatever photoreceptor to be used, and effectively destaticize or erase it without affecting the photoreceptor adversely, by controlling voltage to be applied to the destaticizing lamp or the erasing lamp in accordance with a kind of the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:In means for detecting a kind of photoreceptor for detecting a kind of a belt type photoreceptor, detection switches 131-134, correspond to kinds of photoreceptors, such as the detection switch 131 corresponds to a selenium photoreceptor, the switch 132 to an org. semiconductor photoreceptor, the switch 133 to a cadmium sulfide photoreceptor, and the switch 134 to a zinc oxide photoreceptor. A microcomputer 62 detects a kind of a belt photoreceptor from a signal corresponding to the states of turning on and off each switch 131-135, and sends output data of application voltage corresponding to these detection results to an application voltage control circuit. This circuit has 5 D/A converters 140-144, and this converter 141 and its output circuit 146 apply DC voltage VE1 corresponding to the output data of the microcomputer 62 to an erasing lamp 32. |
