METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MONITORING TEMPERATURE OF PACK OF FOIL

PURPOSE:To perform foil stamping stably while holding a pack of foil at constant temperature by monitoring the temperature of the pack by thermal conduction or radiant heat from the pack. CONSTITUTION:An anvil 12 is arranged at a relative position under a hammer 6 and a work 13 formed by covering stacked foil and foil-stamped paper with leather is mounted thereupon and beaten with the hammer 6 into a sheet. In this case, the temperature of the work 13 is detected by a temperature sensor 14 incorporated in the anvil 12 or a radiation thermometer 14a arranged at distance from the anvil 12 to monitor its temperature condition. Consequently, the work 13 is held at the constant temperature to perform the foil stamping stably.
