PURPOSE:To outut an adequate message to the operator no matter whether a node is ''true'' or ''false'' by outputting the second best message and plant data at every unit of each entry node as the message to be outputted in the stage of a failure in the identification of a cause. CONSTITUTION:Process data xi is quantized by a data collector 1 and is processed with an arithmetic processing unit 2. The result thereof si and the time for generation of an event are stored in a storage device 3. The processing for CCT (a cause and result tree, hereafter expressed as CCT) execution is accomplished by a diagnosis processing unit 5 in accordance with the information from the device 3 and a storage device 4 in which CCT is stored. An engineering unit converter 7 is provided thereto, and in the stage of a failure in the identification of the cause, the second best message attached to said entry node and the plant data determined beforehand with respct to the entry node are outputted. In this stage, the plant data is converted to the engineering unit to obtain the type easily understandable for the operator. |
