<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a highly sensitive scintillation camera free from distortion by reconstruction of images from a value obtained when the number of incidence of radiation is integrated along the length of a collimator with the direction of the radiation incident regulated in the oriented direction of the parallel flat- plate-shaped collimator. CONSTITUTION:Parallel flat-plate-shaped collimators 41, 42 and 43 are provided to regulate the incident direction of radiation along the width of scintillators 11, 12 and 13 mainly at the front thereof. Several shield plates 40 are provided to regulate the incident direction of the radiation along the length of the scintillators to a certain extent. The scintillators 11, 12... and the collimators 41, 42... are turned to write outputs of counters 61, 62... into a memory 73 at each slight angle while numerous data are obtained at each slight angle by resetting the counters 61, 62... These data are read out from the memory 73 and computed to reconstruct an image.</p> |
