PURPOSE:To exactly and safely attain the timbering of sheathing wall without the use of internal-timbering work, e.g., strut, etc., by introducing a pretension into an earth anchor. CONSTITUTION:A sheathing wall 1 with a proper excavation depth is constructed by H-shaped steel master piles 1A driven in parallel at a proper pitch in a vertical or nearly vertical attitude and steel sheet piles 1B driven between the adjacent master piles 1A. Brackets 3 are projectionally attached to the upper ends of the master piles 1A, connectors 4 are fixed across the upper ends of the brackets 3, and an anchor 2 consisting of a steel wire 2A and an anchor main body 2B is driven in vertical or nearly vertical attitude at the center between the connectors 4. Then, by introducing a pretension into the earth anchor 2, a moment directed against falling moment acting on the sheating wall through the connectors 4 and the brackets 3 can be applied. |
