PURPOSE:To detect damaged joint quickly, by a method wherein inert gas is flown through successively a space between boundary bellows and back-up bellows among a plurality of bellows joints to detect leaks of sodium. CONSTITUTION:All on-off valves 20 of gas charge pipes 21 and discharge pipes 22 of all bellows joints 8 are opened. and a gas circulater 25 is driven to circulate inert gas filled in a space between boundary bellows 2 and back-up bellows 3. When sodium is detected by a sodium leak detector 23, inert gas filled in the space between the bellows 2 and 3 of each pipe joint 8 is circulated successively to detect the pipe where a bellows joint 8 is leaking. After the leaking pipe has detected, each on-off valve of each gas charge pipe 21 and discharge pipe 22 of each hoint is turned on and off successively to detect the damaged bellows 2. |
