PURPOSE:To detect whether there is a mercurial column or not at high speed, by a method wherein picture data of a clinical thermometer are added in predetermined direction on the screeen. CONSTITUTION:Picture data of a clinical thermometer within a set resion D are added line by line. The resultant added data are compared with a suitable threshold level R to detect whether there is a depressed part H corresponding to a mercurial column C. When the depressed part H is detected, it is determined that there is the mercurial column. |
