PURPOSE:To reduce the overall length of a titled device, by containing a probe holder in a hollow shaft. CONSTITUTION:A rotating frame 15 is supported freely rotatably by means of a bearing 4 on the inner side of a supporting frame 1. A hollow shaft 16, located on the inner side of the frame 15, is supported to said frame 15, and a sensor 18 is contained therein. A holder 17 which revolves cooperatively with the shaft 16 is disposed so as to extend longitudinally in the axial direction in the hollow shaft. A signal transmitting device 19 consisting of a stationary part supported to the frame 1 and a rotating part supported to the shaft 16 or the frame 15 is placed between the shaft 16 and the frame 15. As a result, the holder 17 is contained in the shaft 16; therefore, the overall length of the device is made shorter, and the installation spacing between each pinch roll is made shorter. The flaw detection is thus made possible even if the material to be examined has large deflection or camber. |
