PURPOSE:To obtain the descaling agent excellent in adhesiveness and easy to perform after-treatment, by using an adhesive agent prepd. by adding Na2O. 3SiO2 and optionally Al or glass powder to an alkaline earth metal compound. CONSTITUTION:To 100pts. an alkaline earth metal compound, 1-30pts. an adhesive agent comprising Na2O.3SiO2 or prepd. by adding 1-10% Al and/or glass powder to Na2O.3SiO2 is added. This composition is formed into slurry by adding water to it, to obtain the antiscaling agent. When this descaling agent is applied to the surface of a steel piece being transferred at a high speed while being held as such at a high temp. by a spray or laminar flow method, it instantaneously forms the film of steam, changes into water drops and rotates on the surface. It is not difficult to apply it to the surface. When the proper amount of the descaling agent is used, its concentration is increased, its adhesiveness is remarkably enhanced, and the excellent effect of application is exhibited. Consequently, the after-treatment of the steel sheet is facilitated by the application of said descaling agent. |
