PURPOSE:To omit a run length counter, by directly connecting the outut of a counter applying a reading address to a storage circuit with a control circuit which executes encoding in order to read out a picture signal stored in the storage circuit by every picture element. CONSTITUTION:A facsimile encoding circuit consists of an original reading part 1, a writing clock switching part 2, storing elements 3a, 3b for two lines, address selectors 4a, 4b, a writing address counter 5, a reading address counter 6, data selectors 7a, 7b, a changing point detecting circuit 8, a clock generating circuit 10, a control circuit 11, and a modulation part 12. The control circuit 11 encodes the difference between the output of the reading address counter 6 at the generation of the preceding changing point and the output of the counter 6 at the generation of the current changing point as run length in each generation of a changing point in the read-out signal. |
