PURPOSE:To both improve a response characteristic of combustion and place its change under control, by reducing delay of a response and/or a change of the combustion due to an excessive amount of fuel adhering to a wall surface in a Siamese port through the method of arrangement of a fuel injection valve in the Siamese port. CONSTITUTION:Most of fuel injected from a fuel injection valve 18 is pulverized by a strong swirl flow generated in a helical port volute part 3b. The rest of fuel partly collides directly with a bottom wall surface 24 of a Siamese port. Since a position 20, in which an atomized core 19 intersects the surface 24, is situated in the upstream side from a bottom end part 21 of a partition 12, a part of the core 19 applied with oblique lines is ranged to the side of a subintake port 4, and injected fuel in this position is sucked to the side of the port 4. |
