<p>PURPOSE:To enable reduction in the heat value of a resistor while improving the response characteristic during the application of voltage by equalizing a potential distribution of an equalizing capacitor so arranged to wrap the resistor connected to a line to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A resistor R and equalizing capacitors C1-C5 are housed in a pressure container 3 which has the lower end closed with a cover plate 1 and the upper end closed with an insulation spacer 2. The lower end of the resistor R is connected to a connection plate 4 or the cover plate 1 while the upper end thereof connected to a bus through a conductor 5 of the insulation spacer 2. The equalizing capacitors C1-C5 formed like a cylinder is so arranged coaxially on the axis of the resistor R that the electrostatic capacity value reduces sequentially from the upper to lower stages to equalize the axial voltage distribution when an AC voltage or a voltage in case of a trouble in the system is applied. Thus, no current is allowed to flow through a capacitor formed between the capacitors C1-C5 and the resistor R thereby enabling a less response time even with a large resistance value of the resistor R.</p> |
