PURPOSE:To manufacture continuously a twisted wire at a high speed, by feeding a rod continuously to a rotating container provided with plural cut-edges, making plural strands, and twisting them. CONSTITUTION:To a screw cylinder 28a of a hollow adaptor 28, a cut-edge holder 29 provided with a cut-edge 25 inside is connected by a box nut 30 to constitute a container 14. A rod 2 is fed continuously in the axial direction of the container rotating at a high speed, and plural strands 20 whose sectional area is smaller than an area of an orifice constituted of the cut-edge 25 and the cut- edge holder 29 are formed. These strands 20 are sent to a twisting port plate 19 through a hollow shaft 15. Between the twisting port plate 19 and a twisting port die 22, plural strands 20 are twisted to obtain a twisted wire 10. In this regard, a cooling device 8 is fitted airtightly so as to extend over the twisting port plate 19 and a die holder 21, and the atmosphere is adjusted and cooled to prevent a generation of scale of the strand 20. |
