PURPOSE:To manufacture a welting, omitting need to mold and prepare the core material of a bead part separately, by bending a skin material into a U-section, supplying a bead core forming stock in the bottom of a groove, pressing the skin material from both outsides and shaping the bead part and a flat fin strip part. CONSTITUTION:A skin material 1 is folded into the shape of a groove 4, by supplying the skin material 1 of the decorative sheet of a fabric, a leather, a synthetic resin, etc. to a U-shaped groove 4. Then, the nozzle 6a of the supply device 6 of a bead core forming stock is inserted in the bottom of the groove of the bent skin material 1 and the bead core forming stock 7 is supplied to the bottom of the groove from its tip. Then, a bead part 9 and a fin strip part 10 are shaped by the shaping rolls 8, 8 and a welting is finished. Omitting need to mold and prepare the core material for the bead part separately according to a conventional way, the desired welting can be formed freely, solely by changing the size of the semicircuilar groove of the shaping roll for forming the bead part. When a urethane foam is used as a core, the bead part is provided with a softness and a feel is improved. |
