PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which controls the tension of a pipe easily and exactly and to prevent thickness deviation by the constitution wherein the numbers of revolutions of motors for driving caliber rolls of respective stands are detected and the numbers of revolutions of the caliber rolls are calculated and displayed for each stand. CONSTITUTION:The number of revolutions of motors 3a, 3b-3n for driving caliber rolls 1a, 1b-1n constituting plural stands of a reducing mill throguh which a pipe P is passed through in an arrow direction, and pulses are outputted from pulse generators 4a, 4b-4n. The numbers of revolutions of the respective rolls 1a, etc. are calculated from the number of revolutions of the motors 3a, etc. and the speed reduction gear ratios of respective speed reducers 2a, etc. and are displayed two-dimensionally in association with the sequence (a), (b)- (n) of the stands on a display part 6. The motors 3a, etc. are controlled in accordance with the display so as to make the number of revolutions of the roll 1a, etc. higher from the upper stream side toward the down stream side, whereby the tension acting on the pipe P is controlled. |
